  Unexplainably original. Surreal interior Egyptian design in sanctuary. Cool artist studios in back of building. People seem nice on Sundays and the church does film nights during the weeks sometimes. DP Church has been there since before the Civil War. Young, old, rich, poor, artists, suits hang out in varying degrees. Worth checking out.

  I was in Nashville for the North American Newspaper Association 2011 Conference and was delighted to see the congregation pour out it's heart to the "least of these" The Church generously provides space for Nashville's street paper the Contributor. Defiantly more impressive than the Ryman, but as a Presbyterian I am biased. You have to visit this historic treasure, thank God it did not fall to the wrecking ball, to become a parking lot!
